Happy new year everyone. Despite having to put in a fair amount work at the office, it was a nice, quiet one for myself at home with the family. Also got the news from the publishers that the book will be off to the printers next week. Getting exciting. - James

Check out some beautiful illustrative works of...no...not our illustrator Matt. But our Chinese translator Nydia who is quite the talented little artist herself. Looks like those painting classes are really paying off!

Taiwanese publishing company Tomorrow Studio will be publishing the Chinese Mandarin version of 'Brownie'. A February, 2008 release date is planned and the book will be sold at local convenience stores Circle K, FamilyMart and NikoMart in addition to Tomorrow Studio's online bookstore.

The Story

‘Brownie’ is a story about a simpler time in our lives. It was a time when we saw the magic that the world had to offer through the eyes of a stray dog that happened to find us on a summer’s afternoon. A time when there was nothing really worth worrying over and there were always second chances. Nevertheless, it was also a time which was short-lived as we underwent the immense changes that come with growing up during that age.

‘Brownie’ was written as a reminder of that magical time in our childhoods. More so, it serves as a reminder of the little pieces of youth inside us that cannot be taken away no matter how complicated or numb life may become.
